Why are Eclipses so important in Western Astrology?

First we need to break down, what is an eclipse...
An Eclipse occurs when one heavenly body moves into the shadow of another.
We have 2 types of eclipses: lunar & solar. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon stands between the Sun and earth, cutting off the light of the Sun... A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth stands between the moon and the Sun, cutting off the light of the Sun from the moon.
Eclipses always come in pairs 2 weeks apart with full moon/ new moon cycle
Eclipses are In opposite signs on the same astrological axis.
We have an eclipse season every 6 months
"Eclipse season" is a term we use for the time surrounding and during eclipses.
Because Eclipses are the biggest astronomical events involving the earth/ sun/ moon connection... Eclipses are not the best time to start something new: professionally, personally... these are wild card and surrender moments to what is coming up...
Eclipses can bring shocking/ random/ unexpected events. The time in between 2 eclipses is very magickal and high energy, we are literally in
an eclipse portal.
It is important to pay attention to what is happening in your life and coming up for you during an eclipse season... the universe is clearly speaking to you! Ask to be shown clear guidance/ opportunities/ clarity and you will receive it!
Don't overbook your schedule around eclipses! .. I like to keep things open because it can be unpredictable and we can be feeling more
sensitive then usual.
Wherever you have the astrological sign and degree of an eclipse will be an activated astrological house for you for the whole next 6 month to 1 year period!
